Hey there,
Well it's holiday time and of course things are crazy, not to mention I'm planning a few shows.
I'm doing a gig at the Blue Note again which I am excited about. I love performing there because
I pretty much get to do what I want musically. Being that I am the type of person that loves to do what
she wants this is a good thing...and bad. I tend to want to do so many things. That must be why
choosing the songs for this set list is a pain.
Anyway, I hope to see you all there. It will be a good, happy, feel good time. Well ok, I lied I will throw some
down tempo gutty bluesy, brokenhearted songs in the mix. After all I have experienced some heartbreak this year.
When my heart is broken well I have to write songs about it! But those of you who come to my
shows know I aim to please. Not just me but the audience. There is something special about being on stage
with an adoring audience. I always loved playing small clubs more than bigger venues because you really
have the opportunity to connect with an audience and look in their eyes. Something that quite a few performers
have a hard time doing. Looking at the audience and singing to them, really singing to THEM. It's an intimate moment,
sometimes even scary. Because at that moment they know what you are feeling and hopefully they are feeling it to.
